Hot Wax On Carpet

My sweet little darling LOVES to blow out candles.  Last night she accidentally spilled candle wax on the entertainment center, tv and the carpet.  Praise the Lord she didn't spill any on herself.  Getting the wax off the entertainment center and tv was very easy.  It just scrapped right off.  But the carpet...hmmm...what was I going to do.  We had never spilled wax on the carpet before so, like I do most things when I don't know what to do...I Googled it!  Don't you just love that resource.  Anyway, the removal was soooo easy.

First, you scrap off any excess wax with the side of a spoon or something smooth and sharp.

Get Melted Candle Wax Out of a Rug or Carpet

Second, you place a rag or plain brown paper bag down over the was spill and you place the iron on the highest heat w/ steam on top of the rag/bag. The wax will melt and be absorbed right into the rag/bag.  The wax just disappeared!  Amazing!
