Frugal Friday: Nearly Free Christmas Garland

I realize Christmas is over and do apologize for not getting this out sooner, but this will give us something to look forward to doing next Christmas.  It is so fun to make this with family or a group of friends.

What you need:

plastic drinking straws

Christmas wrapping paper 

(I prefer old-fashioned paper)

Christmas ribbon

glue stick

scissors

ruler

Directions:

Cut straws and wrapping paper into 1-2 inch pieces.

Wrap enough paper around the straw and cut excess.

Glue paper onto straw.

Thread wrapped straws onto a long piece of ribbon, leaving space between each straw.  Tie smaller pieces of ribbon between each straw.  TaaDaa!  That's it.  Simple and frugal.
